The User-friendly guide

This User-Friendly Guide to the National Housing Code [the Code] provides a summary of the contents of the Code. It can be used either to obtain an understanding of where specific information can be found in the Code, or as an overview of South Africa’s National Housing Policy.

The User-Friendly Guide is structured exactly in the same way as the Code and comprises four parts:

Part 1: South Africa’s Housing Policy.

Part 2: Understanding the Housing Act.

Part 3: National Housing Programmes.

Part 4: New Developments.
